A local small business, MemorialPics LLC, announced a special deal to sell 10,000 small, fade-resistant headstone portraits to Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford County residents for just $10 each through Father's Day (June 19th).

These portraits, which normally retail from $100 to over $1,000, are sold through monument makers, funeral homes, and cemeteries throughout the United States and have long been a popular way to add a special touch to headstones since they don't fade or discolor outdoors.

Regarding the reasoning behind this special offer, owner Willie Nichols commented, “You can find thousands of these portraits in Chicago area cemeteries, partially because the first company to make them in the United States was headquartered there. Seeing as we are based in this area, we would be thrilled to see the same happen here by providing an unheard-of deal to local residents.
