Write a biography of your loved one.

Gerardo Carriedo Garcia, 41 of Madera CA was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Tio, Nino, Son and Friend. Tragically, on the morning of Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at Community Regional Medical Center with his wife by his side, Gera took his last breath and was called to God's Kingdom.

Gera was born on February 26, 1983 in Madera, CA and was the son of Antonio and Irma Garcia. Gera is survived by his wife of 16 years, Annalicia Garcia and their daughters, Makenize, Aavah, Natalia, and IrmaRose; his sisters Berenice and Sandra; his brothers Antonio and Ricardo; and his parents.

Early in his youth, Gera enjoyed playing Little League baseball, where he developed relationships with friends and coaches that lasted until his last day. At a young age, Gera developed a passion for restoring and customizing low riders. This passion for cars led him to become a beloved longtime member of the local car club Madera Finest where he met the love of his life. Gera was a longtime diehard fan of sports, where the flags of his LA Lakers, Dodgers and Baltimore Ravens waved across the front lawn and all parts of his home.

For over 15 years Gera worked at Quality Container, not only was he known as a hard worker, but described as dedicated, loyal, and extremely passionate about his work. Co-Workers knew Geras office was a shrine to his beautiful family, a home away from home. Quality Container was his warehouse, where Gera always had to have things a certain way, and kept it under control. Business will continue at Quality Container, and sadly positions will be filled but the void of his loving friendship will always be felt, and things will never be the same around here.

Gera was a father to four beautiful girls, embracing and cherishing his role as a girl dad. As the size of the family continued to grow, the cars in his garage continued to change. While Gera never drove a minivan, he exchanged his lowriders for a more family-friendly vehicle. Gera's love for his daughters can never be described in words, but it is evident in every inch of the home he and his wife built together. Gera's backyard rivaled most parks with swing sets, custom ground trampolines, batting cages, and a playhouse. Gera's beautiful backyard became the perfect setting for him to indulge in newfound passions for his dogs, playing corn hole, and barbecuing using his vast variety of Weber grills. Gera's barbecue was always the first off the tables at family gatherings and always requested by family and friends to be catered.
From here, Gera's car would turn into a family SUV as he would embrace other roles, becoming a cheer, soccer, basketball and softball dad. Not only did Gera drive up and down the state of California, taking his daughters to their softball games, but Gera somehow found the time to coach his daughters Middle School Softball team at Desmond. In the end, they transformed their weekends into mesmerizing adventures by embarking on family camping trips, surrounded by the laughter and joy of loved ones.
Gera's life brimmed with passion, but his highest priority was the love for his wife and their children, which endured until his last breath. Gera was luminous, he brought so much love and laughter wherever he went and was truly unforgettable. Gera was a master negotiator, always looking for deals, and somehow always turned a dollar into more than enough for the girls.
Gera's family and friends will always remember him as the life of the party, very knowledgeable and always eager to learn something new. His legacy will be remembered how he lived his life full of passion and how he left an imprint wherever he went.
