Margaret "Peggy" (Whitfield) Anderson

Margaret "Peggy" Anderson was born Margaret Whitfield in San Antonio, Texas, in 1946, the eldest daughter of Dorothy and James Whitfield. She trained as a schoolteacher and spent several years teaching third grade before meeting Robert Anderson at a church social in 1967.

She and Robert married the following spring and spent the next fifty-seven years together, first in San Antonio and later on a small property outside Bandera. Margaret continues to live on the family property, still keeping the porch swing Robert built her, and still telling the same brisket story every Thanksgiving.
