Kathy was born in Jackson, MS on August 13, 1960. She lived most of her life in Raymond, MS. She was the daughter of John Everett Ammons of Braxton, MS and Audell Marie White Ammons of Magee, MS.
Kathy attended Rebul Academy in Learned, MS from 2nd -12th grades. She attended 1st grade in Raymond, MS. Kathy had a passion for teaching, which led her to attend Mississippi College and earned her degree in teaching and spent her teaching career at Jackson Public Schools. She also held positions as a secretary at Hinds Community College Media Center, Mississippi Department of Transportation, a legal secretary, and various other positions in her lifetime.
Kathy loved animals, especially dogs. Her birds, cats, and dogs were like her children to her.
She loved the outdoors and most days were spent tending to her numerous flowers. You could find her outside cutting grass, trimming limbs, cutting trees, planting a garden, planting flowers, and working on numerous projects for her home.
She is survived by her daughter, Cali Marisa Greer Foreman that resides in Brandon, MS; sister, Deborah Carol Ammons Kelly (Chris) from Raymond, MS; niece, April Lynn Kelly also of Raymond, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wayne Greer; son, Phillip Craig Greer; father, John E. Ammons; mother, Audell W. Ammons; grandmother, Eula Mae Ates White.
